As a volunteer run, nonprofit organization, we are committed to creating a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where every young athlete can build confidence, develop leadership, and cultivate a lifelong love for the game along with building friendships through sport. 

Through collaboration with families, volunteers, and community partners (CMBA), we strive to inspire positive experiences on and off the court while strengthening the communities we serve.

At South Stoney Basketball, we believe that how we play the game is just as important as the final score. Sportsmanship and fair play are fundamental values that guide our athletes, coaches, and supporters every time we step onto the court.

Our philosophy is rooted in the belief that basketball provides an opportunity to build character, develop leadership, and foster respect for others. Winning is rewarding, but success is measured by the integrity, effort, and respect we demonstrate throughout the journey.

Respect 

Our members support everyone's worth and dignity, regardless of background, abilities or beliefs.  We treat others the way we wish to be treated.  We are considerate of the feelings of others and their rights.  We are attentive with learning from coaches, officials and players while encouraging growth and development of others.

TeamWork

At South Stoney Basketball, teamwork is more than a skill. It is the foundation of everything we do. While talent can help win games, success comes from players working together toward a common goal.

Teams achieve more when every player contributes, supports, and trusts one another. Every athlete has a role to play, whether scoring points, making the extra pass, defending, encouraging teammates from the bench, or leading through effort and attitude.

Leading Beyond the Court

The lessons of sportsmanship extend far beyond basketball. By demonstrating respect, empathy, and responsibility, our athletes develop skills that will help them become positive leaders in their schools, communities, and future endeavors.
